Based on a set amount of materials, I figured out the volume I could use. From there I started designing the furniture so that it could utilize the materials maximum.
The table top is containing three triangles that meet and repeat themselves further down the furniture. The drawer fronts are bent by hand using old techniques used in the instrument making industry.
Here, the properties of the materials are emphasized, so that the strength of the ash carries the construction, the valchromat is the bottom plate, the poplar's lightness and porosity is used inside the drawers and the walnut's golden beauty is the eye-catcher of the furniture.
